For more than 20 years, Dr. Eric Frederick has helped his patients make sure their hearing loss is not holding them back. He understands that untreated hearing loss has serious effects on one’s quality of life and has helped patients improve their hearing and ability to communicate with the people who are most important to them.
Rachel Wilson, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Rachel Wilson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of Houston. She graduated with her Doctorate in Audiology from the Long Island Consortium (Hofstra University, Adelphi University, and St John’s University) in New York. She became interested in hearing loss when she wanted to better communicate using American Sign Language (ASL) with two culturally Deaf family members. After becoming conversationally proficient in ASL, she became interested in pursuing a career in Audiology after working as a volunteer conducting newborn hearing screenings at OHSU and Doernbecher hospitals in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Wilson’s clinical interests include adult diagnostics and amplification, assistive listening technology, hearing conservation and education, and community outreach. She is an Oregon state licensed Audiologist, and a Fellow member of the American Academy of Audiology. She is originally from Texas, and initially moved to Oregon in 2008. Dr. Wilson has worked in a variety of clinical settings in many states, including rehab facilities, hospitals, ENT offices and non-profit clinics. She is happy to be back in Portland and working with the incredible group of people at Audiology Center Northwest.
Lauren Rynders, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Lauren Rynders’ clinical experience includes adult and pediatric diagnostics as well as hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and follow up. She received her Doctorate of Audiology from San Diego State University and UC San Diego, and completed her clinical fellowship year at Oregon Health & Science University. One of her favorite things about being an audiologist is getting to know her patients and their communication goals as she works with them on their journey to better hearing. Outside of the office, Lauren is an avid hiker and also enjoys baking, knitting, and playing piano.
Candace Watson
Office Manager
Candace is the caring face of the front office. With over 16 years in customer service, Candace ensures every patient has a good experience from beginning to end. Prior to working in audiology, Candace worked as a Chiropractic Assistant and as an international flight attendant. She is a Portland native and graduate of Oregon State University.
